THE LAZARUS ENERGY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

The 1st Model curriculum calendar is based on Duke University’s “Oil & Gas Industry Operations + Markets” course currently available on Coursera. In this model, I propose structuring the LEEP program around this particular course outline to implement efficiency measures for management, while simultaneously providing quality material and valuable certification for interns.

There are also monetary benefits to this model. While certification is $50/student, this particular course is free to enroll, audit, and complete. With the option to purchase official certification after completion, we can avoid overpaying for students who drop out or fail to complete the certification for whatever reason.

As for the content, each section will be supplemented with engaging, deeper-learning materials specifically designed to insure all interns have both a basic and comprehensive understanding of the oil & gas industry. All supplementary content will be gathered, curated, and made available online through our new website, freeing up management to focus on direct communication and on-site operational efficiencies.

The curriculum calendar is also designed to insure that each intern has both completed his or her certification and become familiar with local university energy programs by spring break 2020, prior to their College visits.

Finally, each intern will post their completed certificate to the Linkedin profile they will create as part of their final personal pitch Capstone Project, at the end of the year.
